Kotwara Studios have released a video with Muzaffar Ali and Meera Ali talking about their film ‘Jaanisaar’. The Director – Producer duo reveal details about the making and the inspiration of the film. Being set against a backdrop that is deeply rooted in Indian history, ‘Jaanisaar’ required great detail and research for such impeccable results.
‘Jaanisaar’ is a period drama starring the gorgeous Pernia Qureshi and Pakistani heartthrob Imran Abbas Naqvi in lead roles. Set 20 years after the first war of Indian independence in 1857, the film essays the love story of a revolutionary courtesan of Avadh, and a prince brought up in England. ‘Jaanisaar’ is directed by Muzaffar Ali of cult classic Umrao Jaan fame and produced by Meera Ali. The film released on August 7, 2015.
