Cilantro is a powerful herb known to cure and heal various health issues. It has a strong smell, but it can be made less intense by adding an acid base to it. Cilantro has some exceptional phytonutrient compounds like: Carvone – which is known to relieve gas and heal a bad stomach; Geraniol – a powerful antioxidant and is known to prevent cancer; Limonene – helps to calm your nervous system and helps you sleep better; Borneol – serves as antispasmodic and a sedative; Camphor – acts as a decongestant, antispasmodic, antibacterial and a sedative; and Linalool – reduces stress, reduces aggressive behavior and improves sleep.
A small amount can go a long way! My favorite cilantro recipe is the following:
CILANTRO SUNRISE RECIPE
- 2-3 Oranges
- 1 bunch cilantro leaves
- 2-3 Tbsp Maple syrup
Blend all of the above and drink it within 20 seconds before oxidation takes place.
