Birds and Bees by Apache Indian

If you don’t know already, Apache Indian is the stage name of the reggae DJ Steven Kapur. Kapur was born and raised in Handsworth, West Midlands, a racially mixed area and home of reggae bands like Steel Pulse. By the early 1980s, he was working with local sound systems and wearing dreadlocks! Since then, he has won numerous awards ranging from “Best Newcomer British Reggae Industry Awards” in 1990 to “UK Asian Music Awards: Lifetime Achievement Award” in 2011!

FUN FACT: Apache Indian is not fluent but can speak a few words of Punjabi, which is why he collaborates with Bhangra artists often! Who would have thought?
