A-Slam Put a Punjabi Spin on 'We Speak No Americano'

“If you ask then you shall receive” is the driving force behind A-Slam’s latest remix. The “We Speak No Americano” remix acts as the fourth remix from the Explode your Headphones remix series.

While DJ’ing in Vancouver, A-slam’s DJ E.V. mashed- up Miss Pooja’s single “Romantic Jatt” with the hit top 40 hit “We Speak No Americano.”  As videos of the live set hit YouTube, fans started asking for the mix.  Coincidentally, while jamming in the studio, Raju Johal, Canadian Bhangra artist, posted a video playing dhol over the same song.  Again, fans demanded an mp3 version.

With so many requests, it was time to act!  After a back and forth between E.V., Raju, and producer Nick Chowlia, this team has created an amazing remix that represents a true mash-up.

As an added treat, A-slam shares a preview of their debut video showcasing the song “Back Down” at the end of the remix video on YouTube. “Back Down” debuts online Monday October 17, so don’t miss it!
