Aashika Bhatia on the Women’s Reservation Bill being a positive sign for women in politics

In the past week, India had made a historic move by passing the Women’s Reservation Bill, also known as the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam’. This bill reserves one-third (1/3) of the seats in both the lower house, and state assemblies for women. Many international bodies, including the United Nations, have praised India’s step towards a more progressive and inclusive law, which ensures women’s inclusion in the building of democracy. Popular influencer Aashika Bhatia, last seen in Bigg Boss OTT 2, shares her thoughts on the approval of the Women’s Reservation Bill.
