Gaurav Wadhwa plays the role of Dr. Keertan Kashyap in Pyaar Ka Pehla Adhyaya: Shiv Shakti, produced by Prateek Sharma and Parth Shah’s Studio LSD. The actor says that when he heard the title for the first time, it’s the name of Lord Shiva in it that struck him.

“That’s when I thought that this would be a very interesting concept in a modern way, so I wanted to be a part of it. Finally, I am doing the show, I’m very excited about it,” he smiles.
His character Dr. Keertan Kashyap is the son of Mandira (Parineeta Borthakur).
“Shiv (Arjun Bijlani) is Keertan’s cousin and Keertan doesn’t know anything about it. He is a stubborn boy and is a doctor for the sake of it. But yes once he decides what he wants to achieve he doesn’t stop and will do anything to achieve it. Personally, I don’t relate to the character at all and this is the third time I’m playing a part having grey shades. Also, I am very excited to play the role of a doctor,” he says.
The backdrop of the show is set in Banaras.
“Yes, and the first few days were shot there. It gave me a reason to visit the city for the first time. It was a lovely experience,” he adds.
Even the production value of the show appears to be impressive. The response around it has been positive.
“I think this is one of the best as far as production value is concerned and our director is very understanding. I feel very good working with him,” he smiles.
Ask him about interesting incidents from the set and he shares,
“There is no incident as such but I would like to share that when I went to Banaras at a time when it was so hot and we were shooting in the open air, there was no shade as such and it was very tough. I was nervous too because I was sweating but when I saw the telecast nobody would say that we were not comfortable and that shooting conditions were unbearable. But at the end of it, we all enjoyed it a lot.”
Sharing about her experience of working with Studio LSD and Prateek, he adds,
“I’m working with them for the first time but it doesn’t feel like it’s my first time at all. They made me very comfortable and I’m really enjoying working with them. I’m very lucky that I’m working with Prateek ji and he thought I will be fit for this character and I’m trying my best to play this role perfectly.”
