“I played Lord Krishna in Ekta Kapoor’s Mahabharat few years ago. It was a pleasant experience as I am a big devotee of Lord Krishna. As a Marwari Jain I am a religious person. I felt very good while doing the show. Once Ekta had touched my feet when I was in the get up of Lord Krishna. Many people who used to come on the set they also use to ask for blessings. Lord Krishna has special significance in my heart and life. I took time to get into the character. I realized it’s not easy to play God. The role brought lot of peace in my personality. The teachings of Krishna always hit bull’s eye. Lord Krishna had huge impact on me as a person. I matured as a person while playing Krishna. His words can’t be ignored. His teachings penetrate deep into the heart. My love for Lord Krishna is permanent. When ever I see Lord Krishna I feel I am part of him. I am happy that I have Krishna’s blessings in my life because when you have a God like Krishna in life you can get only happiness. To associate with God is very important. Krishna is pure, honest and connects directly to my heart.”
