A recent report claiming Bollywood actress Urmila Matondkar being roped in as one of the judges in the upcoming dance reality show ‘Shine Of India’ has been denied by its producer Rajeesh Kumar. He tells us exclusively,
“We haven’t been approached Urmila. The news is false. The judges are yet to be finalized.”
The show, which will launch in October, will be telecast on MTV and will travel 10 cities in 10 different states. Talking about the concept, he says,
“There will be two age-groups — 3-15 years and 16-35 years. Talented
dancers can come from all corners of the country. The selected participants will be provided with mentors after the audition rounds.”
Highlighting the USP of the show, he adds,
“It is ground level work during which we are scouting rural and street talent as well. A lot of
research and hard work has gone into assembling the project.”
