Actor Amol Parashar who stars in the just released Fox Star/Endemol film ‘Traffic’. Amol is an IITian who graduated in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Delhi and is now a full-time actor.
Traffic which released last week is a remake of a Malayalam film (with the same name), which was one of the biggest hits of 2011 and won several awards and accolades. The Hindi film has been directed by the renowned director Rajesh Pillai, who also directed the original Malayalam film. He unfortunately passed away a few days before the announcement of the release.
The film boasts of a stellar cast that includes Manoj Bajpayee, Jimmy Shergill, Divya Dutta, Amol Parashar, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Parambrata Chatterjee, Vishal Singh and others.
In the Hindi version, Amol plays the part made famous by the young Malayalam star Asif Ali in the original film. When leading star, Manoj Bajpayee was asked about Amol’s performance in the film, this is what Manoj has to say about his co-star. —
