Designers Shivan & Narresh known for their fun beach and holiday wear created their magic on the ramp at Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2016. Inspired by French painter Fernand Léger’s cubist work, the top beach wear designers unveiled their ‘Léger Leisure’ line.
The bold color strokes were amply visible as sexy hues of gorgeous coral, dazzling rorange (mix of red and orange), pristine mint and aqua hues set the mood of the show. Ideal for serene holidays or romantic destination weddings and honeymoon sojourns; the glamorous dawn-to-dusk beach wear range had large doses of luxury as well as some shimmer and glitter with hints of brocades.
From swimsuits to maillots and trikinis, the collection moved to jumpsuits, palazzos, a body suit and dress. A shrug, cropped lehenga, and some colorful leggings were part of the line-up in addition to saris, gowns, bomber jackets and a sexy off-shoulder blouse. Materials that added to the glamour of the collection were patent leather, neoprene, brocades, and techno foils along with cleverly incorporated patent details.
Known for their extreme detailing, the duo brought in massive pellets of resin, which were cleverly blended into the garments and saris. There were crystal motifs and block appliqués in abstract brocade that created further drama on the ramp.
Some innovations were seen in the embellishments, which revolved around crystal baguettes, tear drops, tanzanites, aquamarines and abstract Kaputs. To further take the bridal mood on a higher sartorial and stylish plane, the designers added Swarovski crystals to accentuate the motifs and accessories.
Aimed at the destination wedding bride, the fabric designs were eye- catching to match the bridal mood of the collection. Electrifying designs and kaleidoscopic geometrics along with rich gold textiles were the cynosure of the snazzy sun worshipper’s collection.
When the blushing bride wants to make a memorable seductive impression on her wedding and honeymoon, it has to be with ‘Léger Leisure’ by resort wear experts Shivan & Narresh.
