Anubhav K Srivastava

Why did you choose to be part of BCL?

I love cricket and then playing with your co-actors makes it more fun. And plus it’s an interesting concept of uniting all the tv actors under one platform and enjoy together. And the best part that it’s not gender based and girls can also be a part of team which makes it unique n refreshing.

Interesting additions were made to the BCL format this year. Which one is your favorite?

The ‘challenge over’ which doubles your score . It’s like bidding that you will make for example 15 runs in an over, and if u achieve that ur score for that over become 30 runs.

What do you consider to be the USP of your team?

No ego and hassles and we gel without any malice with each other. Everyone keeps their star status out of the game and play like a normal person.

Did you enjoy watching/playing cricket as a child?

Oh very much! That’s why I’m on the team. Without interest and passion there is no fun in the game. Cricket is one game I can watch and play anytime of the day.

What was your most cherished cricketing experience?

That I scored 212 runs not out in an inter college competition and was rewarded with man of the match and cheque worth RS 10,000.

What is one life lesson cricket (sports in general) teaches us?

Cricket teaches you focus and consistency.

Who are you closest to on the team?

I gel well with all of the girls on the team but if you ask me about individuals I would say Jaswir Kaur and as for guys, Nandish Sandhu.

What projects are you planning to work on in the future?

My new web series in going to launch by the end of April. Aside from that I would love working with Balaji yet again. It’s a production house I feel completely at home with. My last show with them was Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta which went on for five years. It was a lovely and enriching experience.
