#MahaShivRatri: Television celebrities talk about their faith in God!

Mahashivratri is considered one of the biggest holidays for Shiv Bakhts (Shiva worshipers). Among our television stars are many who share a belief in Shiva and pray to him on this day. When we asked them about their family traditions and their faith here is what they had to say:

Saurabh Pandey – I am a Shiv Bhakt. Mahashivratri gives a good feeling and I feel peaceful. I intend visting a shiv temple in my area. I don’t do fasting but I do believe in the power of prayers. Ask and you shall be given holds true still. God is everywhere.

Shivin Narang- My name is Shivin and I am a Shiv bhakt. I don’t do fasting but my mother does. I am in Delhi and would be going to Shiv temple and follow the rituals which my mother would want me to do. I believe God takes care of people who follow their heart.

Krishna Gokani– I am a firm believer of Lord Shiva. I don’t fast but I go to Shiv temple daily in Juhu before going for shoot. I believe God takes care of his people no matter what. God is everywhere. God takes care and he has better plans for you than you can think.

Shashank Vyas- I am from Ujjain the city of Mahakal. Mahashivratri is very important to me. I do fast every mahashivratri. When I planned to become an actor my father told me you are going from father’s place to son’s place which meant Ujjain is of Lord Shiva and Mumbai is of Sidhivinayak which means Ganesha and I should follow my dreams without worrying. I feel lot of peace on mahashivratri. I would go to a Shiv temple too.

Rashami Desai- I believe in Lord Shiva. He is our kuldevta. I don’t leave my home without my morning pooja. This habit exists since childhood. I don’t go without lighting the diya. I feel when I go from home God will ensure that I come back home safely. I believe all negativities are destroyed by faith in God. He enables human beings to sail through all kind of situations with perfect ease.

Amal Sehrawat- I believe that GOD is one and supreme! I am a firm GOD believer. I believe in doing good deeds and believe in , live and let live principle. Being a good human being is my religion. I believe in the power of prayers and affirmations. I don’t fast but intend to go to Shiv Temple. Shivji is destroyer of all evils on planet earth , I wish he destroys all negative thinking of people forever on this auspicious day.

Arjun Bijlani– I am a Shiv Devotee. I have a shoot. I would surely go to Shiv temple. I don’t fast but I believe in Lord Shiva totally. I believe one should trust God totally. God saves you from all troubles and He knows what is best for you. I am religious by nature and do pooja daily and don’t leave home without my morning pooja.

Mrunal Jain – I am a religious person by nature. I have inherited my faith from my mother Vidhya. I don’t fast but I go to temple daily being a Jain. I am very proud of my religion and follow the rituals strictly. I know how to do pooja with complete rituals. I believe in surrendering to God. He shows the right path.

Tinaa Dattaa – I fast since I was a child. I am a great believer of Shivji. Kehte hay shivji sab problems door karte hai. Bhakti Mein Shakti hai. I am a religious person and believe in God. I do my morning pooja daily and don’t leave home without it.

Ssharad Malhotraa– I believe God is omnipotent. I am a Shiv bhakt. I intend to go to Shiv Temple. Faith in God is important and that is what my mother taught. He is always there for us and prayers surely are answered if the intention is right. I am religious person and believe in the purity of heart. I don’t fast. I am shooting for my new show Kasam and am sure Lord Shiva blessings are with me.

Ajay Chaudhary- I am a religious person by nature. God doesn’t have an answering machine he takes each call personally. I am very particular about my daily pooja. I intend to go to Shiv temple in my area and offer my prayers.
