Apart from acting and dancing, Karuna Pandey, the multitalented actress of Zindagi’s Bhaage Re Mann, is very passionate about writing shayaris and poems. Like her character, Padmini, Karuna too is a new age, forward thinking, idealistic woman. This Women’s Day the actress decided to gift all her female co-stars a unique, handwritten poem that describes her sentiments on being a woman.
The show’s cast and crew includes very talented and passionate women including Mitu (the show’s producer), Ritu Bhatia (the writer), and a very strong female cast that includes Kanika Shivpuri, Priya Marathe, Vasundhara Kaul and Arshima Thapar. Inspired by these wonderful women who surround her daily, Karuna penned her feelings down in a poem titled “Bhaage Re Mann” as a tribute for them.
In the poem, Karuna mentions that she doesn’t know why her mind and heart are eager to search for new horizons in life. There is so much to achieve and do that her heart is wandering in the hope of finding new avenues and that ultimate goal. She writes,
“Let’s celebrate this day with zeal and explore new direction/motive of life that is hidden within us – in our inner being. The birth of a girl child is the biggest gift of the universe and my heart is eager to reach the zenith of success in my full capacity and ability.”
She ends her poem by repeating the core thought, “Don’t know why my heart is wandering in search of a new horizon.” Check out the full poem below!
Talking about Karuna’s sweet gesture, Vasundhara Kaul who plays Jyoti on the show said,
“An amazing gesture from an amazing woman. I love that Karuna always adds a personal touch and likes to give unique gifts. This poem really resonates with me and echoes the philosophy of all of us who work on the show. I will treasure this poem for life.”
