We all are celebrating International Womens Day and it’s something which should be celebrated everyday! In fact Nivedita Basu’s team Kolkata Baabu Moshayes in Frooti BCL Season 2 is one full of life team which plays to win! On the occasion of Women’s Day, select team members talk about their woman of substance!
Nivedita Basu-A woman of substance would be my mother and Ekta Kapoor. My mother is a strong woman. She left her career and sports life to take care of me and my sister. Ekta Kapoor for being my mentor and for being this force to reckon with in the television world.
Ssharad Malhotraa-A woman of substance would be a woman of power, woman of meaning and somebody of positive influence. Undoubtedly my mom will always be the woman of substance. She has positively influenced me in my life at all levels. She is a woman of principles. very strong, compassionate, loving, caring and has tactfully been fulfilling her responsibilities or duties towards her family, friends and society. She is somebody I will always look up to.
Hiten Tejwani- Everyday is a women’s day. They work nonstop without expecting anything in return. My mother, mother-in-law, my wife all are women of substance for me in my life. Because of my mother I am what I am ,because of my mother in law my wife Gauri is what she is and because of my wife my kids are what they are. So all the three of them are very special for me.
Sudeepa Singh-A woman of substance is my mom. She is such a strong woman. She has supported me a lot in my life. I share a special bond of friendship with her and she is my best friend. She reflects positivity irrespective of what the situation is.
Sayantani Ghosh-A woman of substance is my mother because for her contribution in our lives. She left her own ambition and always kept our family in the forefront. I think being a housewife is a full time and a thankless job. We often take it for granted. She has always supported me. She used to come to shoots initially which is pretty boring just to ensure my safety as I was new to the city. She has been a friend, my shopping partner, my ludo partner and a big support in my life.
Vindhya Tiwary-Woman of substance is my mother not just because she is my mother. I respect her more than I love her because I know her journey. She has gone through a lot and always smiled. She fought back and emerged as a winner. She has always inspired me to work harder and harder. Whenever I am in a difficult situation, I close my eyes, remember her and fight out to get it right.
Anuj Sachdev-The woman of substance in my life has to be my mother. She saw the talent in me even before I saw it. She is my lucky mascot. My mom has always been my strength. I wouldn’t have moved to Mumbai and taken up this career if she had not stood up for me. She has been my inspiration and will always continue to be!
