Rumor has it that cricketer turned actor Suyyash Rai is apparently upset over the choice of new captain for BCL’s Delhi Dragons. It has been speculated that Karan Wahi and Suyyash Rai relationship has soured over captaincy of the Delhi Dragons team.
According to sources,
“Suyyash was the skipper last year, but this time, most team members voted for Karan to lead them. They started early practice and since Suyyash was taking part in a reality show, he missed a few net sessions. The voting, however, took place in his presence and he was upset with the team’s decision. He even threatened to quit the league, but some of his team mates convinced him to stay back and take things in his stride.”
Suyyash denies the buzz and says.
“We have become closer now; there has never been an issue between Karan and I over captaincy. I knew the team would have to make him the captain since I was on Bigg Boss at that time,”
said Suyyash. But wasn’t the captain chosen just last week?
“He was the captain from day one. He is the one who got the team together. And in any case, it doesn’t really matter. Even last year, all I really did was toss the coin before matches, but we captained together. There is no rift as such between us. In fact, we are playing for another cricket match together,”
clarified the actor. Wahi responded,
“What tiff are you talking about? I think we have much more important things that we can really fight about.”
The source, however, maintains that differences between the two actors have cropped up and adds:
“We will know more once the tournament begins.”
