Well for this talented actor who played a eunuch about fifteen years back in Deepak Tijori’s episode of Rishtey and later in Indra Kumar’s Masti..it must have been a déjà vu. For Prakash Jha’s Gangajal 2; Murli plays a character called Munna Mardani where he had to dress up as a eunuch in one of the scenes.
Dressing up took him a good two hours and walking around the market with a bunch of real eunuchs in that get-up was quite a daunting experience. But when a director like Prakash Jha is calling the shots behind the camera, it is all about making it realistic. Murli Sharma said,
“He is an institution in himself of cinema and it is always enriches me as an actor to work with him” says Murli who has done Apaharan and Chakravyuh earlier with the director. “And in that get bhaiji(Mr Prakash Jha) made me run half the town but the chase sequence will be a highlight of the film.”
As for the eunuch scene, this surely will win him applauds like his earlier eunuch act. Déjà vu all over again? You bet!
