The casting couch is an unfortunate reality in show business. If you’re unfamiliar with the term ‘casting couch’, it refers to the trade of sexual favors by an aspiring actor or actress for a film role or advancement in their career to a casting agent, producer, director, etc. It is rare that an actor or an actress speaks up about facing the casting couch, however, one actress has definitely set an example for many. She is a rising South actress and was asked by a casting agent whether or not she was willing to compromise. What followed that is truly commendable. The actress took to the social media site, Facebook and posted her interaction with the casting agent.
