Shiamak kicks of his ‘ConfiDance Show’ in UK!

Since its’ Dance week, we are in the dancing mood and we are loving all the stories about dance! One show did so well that you just had to be up and dancing to the music out in London! India’s popular dance extravaganza – the ConfiDance Show made its international debut here in London. Performed by the special potential students, this also marked the launch of the SHIAMAK Dance Team here that performs various dance styles at shows and events.

 

 

The ConfiDance Show was a display of Contemporary, Bollywood Jazz, Hip Hop and Broadway, and was witnessed by a packed audience at the Arts Depot, Finchley. With amazing choreography, forty-five trained and disciplined performers, breathtaking visuals and colorful costumes, this show presented a complete performing arts experience in a little over two hours.

Shiamak’s senior instructors and who teach his classes in the UK performed at this show and led the team through this energetic showcase.

“We’ve all danced at shows like ConfiDance during our training years back in India. It was a compete pleasure sharing our experience with this enthusiastic team and making them feel like stars on stage. We’re glad this production has now gone international and are touched by the overwhelming response.”

said Shruti Shah. She along with Rohan, Anupam and Pooja teach at SHIAMAK Dance Academy in London and the Midlands.

The highlight of the show was Shiamak’s principal dancer, Aneesha Dalal who has performed at the biggest national and international shows; trained Bollywood stars and is a known face in the dance circuit. She came especially from India to perform at the show. Award winning British contemporary dancer, Aakash Odedra also performed at ConfiDance. Aakash was a part of The Shiamak Davar Dance Company before he moved to London.

“This unity, this sense of family is something that Shiamak has helped and nurtured.” said Aakash.

The audience was moved to tears as students with special needs from Ashiana Trust performed as a part of Shiamak’s Victory Arts Foundation. This trust uses dance as therapy and helps people heal through the performing arts. Encouraging an inclusive society, this performance on Rehna Tu made everyone believe in Victory’s motto of ‘Have Spirit. Will Triumph’.

SHIAMAK is now ready to take the ConfiDance Show to Leicester and kick-start a tour across the United Kingdom.
