Shabana Azmi carries her father's legacy forward with Mijwan!

The super talented Shabana Azmi is known for taking up social causes. This time, the actress has picked a cause close to her heart as it is an initiative started by her father, Kaifi Azmi. The initiative is called the Mijwan Welfare Society and it is an NGO that works for the betterment of a small village in UP called Mijwan, where Kaifi Azmi was born.

The NGO aims to educate girls and give them a source of income. Shabana and her goddaughter, Namrata Goyal are taking Kaifi Azmi’s legacy forward. A fashion show will be organized for April 4th for the cause and it will be a star studded event. Actors like Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Javed Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar, Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Shatrughan Sinha and Sonakshi Sinha will walk the ramp for this amazing cause.
