With figures yet to be expected from All India box office collection, Home Video, internet and terrestrial rights the film looks like a definite profit film for the producers!
The super-hit music and attempt at a different genre of film-making coupled with stellar performances of Roy have resulted in great early opening figures say trade sources with the official figures still awaited. As India’s box office collection are still awaited, Bhushan Kumar is already on cloud nine with the first day openings. Roy that was made in the budget of Rs. 30 Crores with additional Rs. 10 Crores for PnA, has already sold its satellite rights at Rs. 25 Crores, overseas rights for Rs. 6 Crores and its music has also already earned another Rs. 6 Crores.
Debutant director Vikramjit Singh, Roy boasts of dynamic and talented ensemble lead cast comprising Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Jacqueline Fernandez in a slick thriller combined with obsessive love triangle narrative, set against an aesthetic backdrop of international locales. Roy marks a dynamic new turn in the Indian thriller genre. Complementing the onscreen mystery and suspense, Ankit Tiwari, Meet Bros Anjjan and Amaal Malik have created chart-topping blockbuster music with songs that have been growing popular by the day!
