Kailash Kher lends his voice for "Woman From The East …Kudessan"

Kailash Kher has garnered rave reviews from the audiences and critics alike. Recently, he sang a song for the up coming bilingual movie in Hindi/Punjabi, “Woman From The East …Kudessan.”

According to the sources, the movie is a women centric film that focuses about the plight of women in rural India. When Director Jeet Matharru approached Kailash Kher, he was astonished by the emotional lyrics. He asked him about the movie and was deeply moved. The song titled Beti, talks in length about the state of women in the country, akin the social developments and education.The composer went long lengths discussing the flow of the song many a times making alterations and were happy to have Kailash on board.

Stereotyping women and gender discrimination has been a common topic for many years. The movie reaches out to them.

Directed by Jeet Matharru, ‘Woman From The East‘ depicts the plight of a poor Indian woman, who is marketed as an animal and is made alien right in her own mother land.

The Punjabi version of the movie titled “Kudessan” is set to release on the 6th of March 2015 in North India and overseas markets, in honor of International Women’s Day which is on 8th of March.
