News is that noted Indian filmmaker Shekhar Kapur is all set to make his directorial TV debut with an upcoming American horror-drama series titled ‘Damien’. The series is said to be the follow-up to classic horror film ‘The Omen’.
What’s more, according to Deadline, ‘Damien’ will be a Lifetime’s straight-to-series drama and will star ‘Merlin’ star Bradley James in the titular role. It was Kapur who took to micro blogging site Twitter to share the news, where he wrote,
“Remember the classic film ‘Omen’? We’re doing the sequel ‘Damien’. Very, very exciting script.”
For ‘Damien’, it’s being said that Kapur, who has helmed films like ‘Elizabeth’ and ‘The Golden Age’ in the past, will also be the executive produce for its first episode.
Looks like this will be one series to keep an eye out for on Television! The US series is slated to premiere in 2015!
