The track “I Put a Spell on You” was originally released back in 1956 and was written by Screamin’ Jay Hawkins. It was selected as one of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll, and was also ranked No. 313 on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. Many artists have done covers of the song, but of course, what makes a cover a hit is how an artist adds his/her own touch to the track. The latest artist to remake the song is Kaila, an upcoming Canadian artist! Sorin Pavelesco (BTB Music) produced the track and plays rhythm guitar on it, DJLP directed the song as well as mixed and mastered it. The vocals are by Kaila and the Guitar solo is by Manny Agostino (courtesy of The Nolas). Best of all, the track is available as a free download on Soundcloud, so go check it out!
