Bollywood Indian TV What's Happenin'

Ali Zafar and Amitabh Bachchan bond on KBC for Kill Dill!

Pakistani heartthrob Ali Zafar and the rest of the cast members from the upcoming Bollywood hit Kill Dil appeared on the most watched TV show in India, Kaun Banega Crorepati last night. Ali and the rest of the cast even shook a leg with the host, the legendary Amitabh Bachchan, on one of the songs from the hit soundtrack of their upcoming film.

Even though Ali was accompanied by his fellows Parineeti Chopra, Ranveer Singh and the veteran Govinda, the crowd went wild as soon as Ali entered the set and wanted to meet him and get pictures taken with him. During the show, Ali told Amitabh Bachchan how huge a fan he’s been ever since he was a child and had even drawn a sketch of him when he was 12. Ali even showed that sketch to the superstar that his mother had kept safe and sent it for the show which made Bachchan emotional and he thanked Ali. At that moment Bachchan asked Ali to recreate a sketch of his live on the show and the result was a masterpiece nonetheless. Crowd and Mr. Bacchan were amazed at his talent and the result was a round of a applause for Ali.

Not only did this made Mr. Bacchan emotional who hugged Ali thrice but it was a dream come true moment for Ali Zafar who said,

“I have no words for the respect and warmth I received from the crowd and specially Mr. Bacchan. I have grown up watching his films, singing songs of his films and used to sketch him when i was a child. I have been his fan all my life but after seeing his energy and radiant personality, i have become his greatest fan. The way he hugged me thrice after hearing me sing & seeing the sketch was so heart warming.”

In such a short span of time and with only five films across the border, Ali has not only managed to earn fans among the Indian audiences but also in the film fraternity, which is the reason he’s given so much respect wherever he goes. And this was one example.

A Yash Raj Films production, Kill Dil is directed by Shaad Ali and is slated for release on November 14. Its music has been composed by Shankar-Ehsan-Loy and lyrics penned by Gulzar.
