Director Homi Adajania’s ‘Finding Fanny’ trailer, which was released on Wednesday, has garnered over a million views in just 22 hours. What’s more, the director says that he shot the quirky story based in Goa in just 36 days! That is a huge deal for such a less amount of time! 36 days to shoot and already out in theaters in a few weeks!
“I absolutely love this film. A start-to-finish, the film was shot in 36 days flat!”
The film is a story of five odd people who are on a road trip to find love, and features Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah, Dimple Kapadia and Pankaj Kapur. Talking about working with the talented actors, Adajania said,
“Love makes normal people do nutty things. But what if they were already a little nutty to begin with? Deepika and Arjun Kapoor signed onto the film before ‘Chennai Express’ and ‘2 States’ had released and didn’t waiver because they had the same conviction. “I couldn’t make the film without Naseer because his character was written for him. As for Dimple, if I make a film without her she will have my head on a platter,” said the director. Adajania, who has made films like ‘Being Cyrus’ and ‘Cocktail’ earlier, further added, “A great joy I experienced was being introduced to Pankaj Kapur. It was a fabulous experience directing him. ‘Finding Fanny’ was a shooting experience that was almost as goofy and hilarious as the story itself.”
‘Finding Fanny’ is written and directed by Homi Adajania and is set to release on September 12.
