Popular VOICE UK contestant Femi Santiago joins I AM ME!

The list keeps getting bigger and bigger and why not! The more artist the more flavor the show will have! Popular The Voice UK contestant Femi Santiago has been added to the line up of the I AM ME – Live concert, which takes place at The Drum in Birmingham on Tuesday 17th June. He will be performing alongside some of the most talented British Asian music acts at the first-of-it’s-kind live event aiming to spread the message of unity and inspiring the youth.

Femi, who made a massive impact on the hit BBC reality TV show earlier this year with his amazing vocal talent, is thrilled to be joining the I AM ME – Live line-up because he believes helping young people is one of the most important things that people should do.

“The potential to be amazing, be extraordinary, to do good for all those around us, has never been more apparent than in the youth of today. This is a fact that should be celebrated and nurtured into success for all those that possess that potential. Guiding our youth down the road of self-fulfillment, self-investment and in time success, will undoubtedly have a positive knock-on effect, and empower them to embrace purpose and guide the youth of tomorrow when they themselves reach a mature state,” said Femi.

Femi Santiago is a singer, songwriter, pianist and guitarist whose rise to fame was prompted by an impressive appearance on the BBC’s The Voice earlier this year. His vocal ability and style has been likened to soulful legends such as Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Brian McKnight and John Legend. Femi was first chosen by international superstar Will.i.Am in a tense last minute turn of the chair during his blind audition to the judges on the popular BBC programme. It led to an epic battle of team swapping and knock out round performances, including a spin with Kylie Minogue. With studio projects already in the pipeline, and music labels listening intently, Femi is set for bigger things.

His addition to the I AM ME – Live line up adds weight to an exciting evening of live performances and debate with high profile guests on the influences currently defining British youth today with important messages about unity and raising aspirations that organizers hope will make a positive difference. More than a 150 tickets to the event will be given away free to young people in Birmingham.

Hosted by music icon Apache Indian, the I AM ME – Live event includes an impressive line up of first-class performers include TaZzZ, Raxstar, Rita Morar, Immi, Priti Menon, Khiza, Soni-J, Bonafide, Sheena, Doni Brasco, Surinder Rattan and Dr Zeus plus special guests. Big names like Shin from DCS, Team PBN and a host of personalities have already confirmed they will be attending. Event producer Asjad Nazir is hoping to kick-start a movement where established people give something back with I AM ME – Live.

“We have an amazing line up of talented artists who are spreading the message of youth empowerment and unity. Countless other celebrities and high profile people have offered support to I AM ME – Live because they too believe in the movement and in helping young people. Hopefully this first step with fantastic artists like Femi will lead to a much bigger movement and more help for young people,” said Asjad.

I AM ME – Live is part of the One World Many Faiths event series collaboration between the Welsh National Opera (WNO) and Maimonides Interfaith Foundation, an international charity that connects people through art, culture and education.
