Mawwali has the youngest star in B-town!

It’s no surprise that this young star is making viral attention through the net!  It was a star-studded affair as the entire Kapoor Khandaan showed up at the JW Marriott hotel to support their budding talent Armaan for the ‘Lekar Hum Deewana Dil’ musical gig. Introduced as the youngest Mawwali in Bollywood, Armaan took the audience by storm with his exuberant dance performance to the thumping beats of ‘Mawwali Qawwali’ which was launched at the venue. The legendary musician A.R. Rahman mesmerized the audiences with his fingers hooked to the piano chords while the lead vocalists were Shweta Pandit, Jonita Gandhi, Hriday Gattani, Shiraz Uppal and Nakash Aziz. Music maestro A.R. Rahman was seen performing after a gap of two years and a half years last night.

The show was a grand inauguration of the much awaited song Mawwali Qawwal & saw the latest Mawwali in Bollywood, Armaan perform on it & open the night. Armaan’s grandmother Krishna Raj Kapoor graced the event along with Randhir Kapoor, Rajeev Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Singh, mother Rima Jain and father Manoj Jain. Kapoor sisters, Karisma and Kareena’s presence created a stir as soon as they stepped in for the concert and they were seen excitedly rooting for their brother during his performance.

Armaan shared his thoughts about the grand event saying

 “I miss my nana today and thank my nani and dada dadi for being my inspiration.”

He also thanked everyone present at the event for their support and encouragement along with family & friends. The stunning debutant Deeksha was equally overwhelmed at the event and said,

“As a kid, I’ve always wanted to attend A.R Rahman concert and now sharing the same stage with him, is like a dream come true.”

While sharing some interesting anecdotes about the title of the film, Director Arif Ali said,

“We were looking for a title for a very long time and the moment Karan saw the trailer, he came up with Lekar Hum Deewana Dil and I grabbed it with both my hands….Karan is a magician when it comes to giving titles for the film”.

The film is very close to his heart & A. R. Rahman also revealed that Arif shed tears of joy for 15 minutes when he agreed to give the music for the film.

The movie is set to release on 4th July 2014.
