It is rumored that Kate gave birth to her baby boy in the same private Londo Wing of the Hospital where Princess Diana had given birth to her boys – Princes William and Harry.  Hopefully, the hospital will bring her good luck and will see her boy turn into a fine young gentleman like his father and uncle!

The official press release from the UK has been issued by Kensington Palace.  It said, “The baby weighs 8lbs 6oz.  The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth. The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news.”  In addition, the Queen’s Press Secretary and the town crier (or footman) posted the official announcement of the new royal heir’s birth in the Buckingham Palace forecourt. It reads: “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 4.24 p.m. The baby weighs 8 pounds 6 ounces. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.”
