Indo-Canadian sensation, Shweta Subram, is set to release her next single, Piya. Very few people have the ability to turn everything they touch into gold (metaphorically speaking of course), and I can assure you, Shweta’s got this rare gift of turning any song into gold with her fabulous voice. “Piya” follows hit songs “Jee Le Live Life” and Ajooba, and will be Shweta’s third single. It also features the popular South Indian playback singer, Karthik, so you can be sure this is going to be one unique track. Plus, the music for this track has been provided by Pravin Mani, who has spent many years working with the legendary maestro, A.R. Rahman, as well as working as a composer for Tamil films! An amazing combination of singers and musicians for the track, wouldn’t you agree?
Shweta has just returned to Canada after a performance with music duo Salim-Sulaiman in Dubai. Shweta tells us she is looking forward to starting 2013 with “Piya” and considers it an honor to have Karthik featured on the track.
