2013 is sure to be an exciting year for movies, especially now that PVR Pictures has announced the release dates for Midnight’s Children and Zero Dark Thirty.
Zero Dark Thirty, releasing on February 15th, is the story of the decade long manhunt of al-Qaeda Osama bin Laden following the September 11 attacks of 2001. It is directed by Oscar award-winning director Katheryn Bigelow and stars Jessica Chastain, Jason Clarke, Joel Edgerton, Chriss Pratt, James Gandolfini, Edgar Ramirez and Mark Strong. In addition to a star-studded cast, Zero Dark Thirty has also snagged four prestigious nominations at the 70th annual Golden Globe Awards. These include Best Motion Picture – Drama, Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture (Drama) – Jessica Chastain, Best Director (Motion Picture) – Kathryn Bigelow and Best Screenplay (Motion Picture) – Mark Boal.
Another highly anticipated film, Midnight’s Children, will be out on February 1st. Directed by Deepa Mehta, Midnight’s Children is based on the Booker Prize winning novel by Salman Rushdie. The film features Satya Bhabha, Shahana Goswami, Rajat Kapoor, Seema Biswas, Shriya Saran, Siddharth, Ronit Roy, Rahul Bose, Anupam Kher, Darsheel Safary, Soha Ali Khan, Shabana Azmi and Kulbhushan Kharbanda.
