South Asians Unite for the Re-Election of President Barack Obama in NYC – 2012

The current US president, Barack Obama, is extremely popular among the South Asian community. Historically, the South Asian community has always supported the Democratic party and again this trend continues with South Asians for Obama (SAFO).

According to a recent survey from Lake Search Partners, at least 85% of the Indo-American population stands for the re-election of Barack Obama as President of the United States. To show their support; the South Asian Community United (SACU), in association with SAFO and IndusTuesdays, along with other community organizations, held a major event in New York City. The event was in conjunction with the 2nd Presidential Debate that took place at Hofstra Univerity in Hempstead, NY.

Urban Asian was there to catch all the highlights of the event. Check it out!

The event, The Next Four Years: 2012 The South Asian Agenda took place in the heart of Times Square, NYC, at Copacabana.
