Bhangra producer Hargo Boparai is back with yet another hit single! After the international success of his debut album Bhangrafornia, featuring the hit “Kente Wale Gabaroo,” Boparai has just released his newest single “Taur” with producer Arpan and Jaggi Singh.
A student of Ustad Lal Singh Bhatti, Boparai is well-versed in traditional Punjabi music which he mixes with modern beats. He has worked with major Bhangra/Punjabi artists such as Surinder Shinda, Master Saleem, Pappi Gill, and Bakshi Billa.
The 2011 album Bhangrafornia spent time on the top 20 iTunes “World” Charts in the United States, establishing Boparai as a true Bhangra hit-maker and producer. “Taur” also features Arpan, an electro/dubstep producer also based in the United States. Arpan was born in Atlanta, raised in Boston and India, and currently resides in the Bay Area. Arpan plays the drums and keyboard as well as produces. His major influences are Thrice, Skrillex, Dillon Francis and Zedd, bringing a unique dubstep feel to Boparai’s bhangra beats.
“Taur” can be downloaded here, as released by Tigerstyle’s Solider Sounds Recordings. Stay tuned to Urban Asian for all of the latest Hargo Boparai’s tracks!
