In Hollywood at Sunset Boulevard’s Laugh Factory, Urban Asian caught up with the Rock Star comedian lineup for Save a Mother and NY based comedian Anish Shah’s “No Laughing Matter Comedy Tour” on India’s Independence day!

Although this was a night of laughs, the real reason for this tour is to support Save A Mother, an organization for helping women in India. From their website:
“Save A Mother’s mission is to develop health care solutions for the poor, beginning with reducing maternal mortality. The organization educates women to be Health Activists (Swasthya Sakhis) for their villages. The Primary Health Activists educate villagers on healthy practices, connect pregnant women to well-equipped health facilities, and monitor all of the pregnancies in the village closely to ensure the proper steps to ensure a safe delivery are being taken.“
