Tampa Hosts India International Film Festival

On February 4th and 5th, Tampa, Florida, will hold the India International Film Festival, the first South Asian Film Festival in the country to launch an independent film school for aspiring filmmakers!

 

The two-day exciting opportunity allows students to get hands-on training with high quality equipment while honing their craft through one-on-one lessons from experienced film professionals.  Some of the topics covered include screenwriting, pre-production, sound, lighting and camera operation.  Most importantly, the students will produce their own short films that will debut at the film festival.

Renowned actress and filmmaker Deepti Naval will also be there as a celebrity guest this year! Deepti Naval, will be among the celebrity guests at the opening night of the Third Annual Film Festival on February 17th. Naval’s directorial debut, Do Paise Ki Dhoop, Chaar Aane Ki Baarish, starring Manisha Koirala –  which received rave reviews during its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, will be a centerpiece feature of the festival and will be screened on Saturday, February 18th.
