Aside from being hailed as Prateik’s first all-out romantic film, the sizzling off-screen chemistry between the actor and his British co-star, Amy Jackson, has not gone unnoticed. If that wasn’t enough romance for you, the soundtrack for the film ‘Ekk Deewana Tha’ was launched in view of one of the most romantic monuments in the world – the Taj Mahal.
Music maestro, A.R. Rahman, has composed a beautifully sentimental and romantic collection of songs for the Prateik-Amy Jackson starrer, which is being directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, who also directed the films super-hit Tamil version ‘Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya‘.
Besides retaining some of the compositions from the original version, the soundtrack also includes new tracks, some of which have been sung by A.R. Rahman himself.
Speaking about the music, Rahman said: “This is my favorite romantic album in recent times, while I have been doing music for many fresh actors, I hadn’t composed a fully romantic album in quite a while.”
Hailing from the new age genre of Hindi cinema that presents a fresh and youth-targeted perspective, ‘Ekk Deewana Tha’ retells the classic, intense love story with fresh impetus for a new generation of cinema-goers, releasing through Twentieth Century Fox on February 17th, 2012.
