Legend Jagjit Singh passes away

Ghazal King, Jagjit Singh was “killed” on twitter late this September when rumored tweets started going around of his death leading to thousands of fans tweeting their condolences while he was still in stable condition at the hospital after his brain hemorrhage. Unfortunately this rumor, is no longer a rumor, the talented man loved by all passed away in the early morning hours of October 10, 2011 in India.

The 70-year-old singer was still optimistic about his recovery after his surgery, but with little doubt it can be said, his history of hypertension and heart ailments did not make the recovery easy. The talented singer and his wife, Chitra Singh rose to fame in the late 1970’s with their music and he was a pioneer in the music industry using techniques far more advanced than his time.
