Zane Lowe supports Kulvinder Singh Johal

World famous BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe was heard supporting upcoming bhangra artist Kulvinder Singh Johal’s debut single ‘Johal Boliyan’ on his radio show on Thursday, 1st September.

The single, which features Raman Aujla dominated the number one position in the charts for six weeks and has gained worldwide recognition in the Asian music scene.

DJ VIPs of VIP Records, said: “This is a fantastic achievement by VIO records and Kulvinder Singh Johal. As a record label we will carry on pushing boundaries and Asian music in the mainstream.”

Produced by TruSkool, ‘Johal Boliyan’ is a pure Punjabi folk duet, which features his regular hip-hop stamp with finely blended authentic folk sounds deriving from the influences of Johal.
