It seems like best buddies, Juhi Chawla and Shahrukh Khan, no longer share an air tight friendship. The feud has resulted since Juhi feels that Shahrukh Khan has not done enough soon enough to acknowledge the contribution of her brother Bobby Chawla in Red Chillies Entertainment’s success. Bobby was the CEO of Red Chillies Entertainment – which was a joint production house between Shahrukh Khan and Juhi Chawla.
Since over a year, Bobby Chawla has been in critical condition and in a coma. However, it was only at the recent music launch of Ra.One (Red Chillies Entertainment’s next venture), where Shahrukh Khan mentioned Bobby. At the launch, Shahrukh said – “I want to dedicate this album (RA.One) to Yash Joharji and Bobby. When we started our company Red Chillies Entertainment, the one who helped me start it was Bobby…”
“Why do we wait for tragedy to strike to tell someone how special they are, or how special they were?” Juhi vented. Having been so close to Shahrukh, it is understandable that she felt hurt at this delayed acknowledgement from one of her closest friends. “I’ve mixed feelings about Shah Rukh’s statement at the RA.One music release. Bobby was very much involved in the recordings of the Akon number in the film. And then he met with the mishap,” said Juhi. “I am happy that Shahrukh remembers Bobby and acknowledges his contribution to Red Chillies. But it saddens me that this acknowledgement comes so late in the day,”
When questioned about the bond she shares with Shahrukh, she mentioned that he h is too busy now-a-days for his old friends. “Shahrukh does not have time. He is a workaholic. He works 20 hours a day, so where is the time? I am also busy with the promotions of my TV show, Badmash Company.”
As to this rumored feud, Juhi has clarified, “The other day I was coming back from (photographer) Gautam Rajadhyaksha’s condolence meet when the media asked what I thought of him (Shah Rukh Khan). In that emotional state, I said why do we talk about a person when he is not around? How many times have we said how much person means to us when that person is around? The whole thing was blown out of proportion by the media. There’s nothing like ‘Juhi lashes out at SRK.'” We hope these two buddies can patch up and we wish the best for Bobby Chawla.
