Akshay's tweets gain national attention!

With his latest flick, “Breakaway” releasing soon Akshay took to twitter to talk about Canada’s Hockey Day and this news seem to spread like wildfire all through the news!!

Akshay tweeted:

Canada has given me something very interesting to think about. If Canadians can celebrate Hockey Day, why can’t we Indians support our own national sport & initiate something similar? What are your views?

All it took was one tweet from Bollywood’s Khiladi for the media to draw attention to the fading sport, Hockey. Even the Press Trust of India picked it up! India already has a National Sports Day, celebrated on August 29, but no day set aside for Hockey like Canada does and Kumar believes it is time to create one.

Akshay’s bringing more attention to the Hockey sport with his film “Breakaway” where an young Hockey loving Indian boy breaks traditional roles to fight for his dreams and passion for Hockey.
