Kangana Ranaut is the face of Lebanese fashion designer, Elie Saab’s latest couture collection for the cover of L’Officiel.
When the Lebanese fashion designer Elie Saab was in Mumbai recently, he found the the versatile Kangana and chose her to showcase his haute couture collection for the fashion glossy L’Officiel. Seems like Kangana has been moving to the top of the list for fashion guru’s all over the world. Not to long ago at the opening of Anish Kapoor’s exhibition at Mehboob Studios, we saw the 80s film stylist Xerxes Bhathena praising Kangna and her nude one-shouldered gown. This Bollywood Diva is known to flaunt her unique dressing sense, and she even designs some of her own outfits!
Personally, I barely recognized her, but Kangana still looks absolutely stunning. Elie Saab creations are artwork itself, but choosing Kangana to model for the cover was genius. The A-line dress hides the curves, the once anorexic-looking Kangana now has, and the empire waist gives the effect of height and longer legs. As Kanagana is not a busty actress the low neck-line doesn’t make her look vulgar but it actually adds sophistication to the image.
The positioning of Kangana’s leg showing through the slit of the dress adds a little sexy to her smoky make-up and intense look as well as giving a flash of the gold accented shoes she has on. The billowing dress and limited accessories complete the cover with a simple, sophisticated and breathtaking image.
I think I’m a little in love with this picture, it’s more than fashion, it’s art! Kangana Ranaut has been criticized by the media and other stars for her lack of finesse, poor english skills and much more but besides an occasional faux pas, you can’t deny her fashion skills!
