Zayed Khan is the son of Bollywood actor Sanjay Khan and Zarine. His sisters are Simone, Farah and Suzanne. His sister Susanne is married to Hrithik Roshan.Zayed completed his schooling from the Welham Boys School, Dehradun.
He later studied at the Kodaikanal International School.His dream of becoming an actor took its roots early on at the age of 8 years, when Zayed first went to the sets of Kaala Dhanda Gore Log. From that day, he was clear that he wanted to become an actor.Zayed’s debut was Chura Liya Hai Tumne (2000) opposite Esha Deol.
The film did not do well but his acting talent was appreciated.Farah Khan’s Main Hoon Na (2004), with Shah Rukh Khan, SushmitaSen and Amrita Rao, won him a nomination in the Filmfare Best Supporting Actor category.
In 2004, Khan went touring with an international stage show, Rockstars. Esha Deol, John Abraham, Shahid Kapur, Mallika Sherawat, and Salman Khan were some of the other stars who were a part of this show.Zayed married his childhood sweetheart, Malaika, on November 20, 2005.
Khan made his screen debut in 2003 in the film Chura Liyaa Hai Tumne. He then starred in Main Hoon Na, which was one of the biggest hits in his career. Next, he appeared in Rocky: The Rebel. He played a cop in Dus and a news reporter in Mission Istanbul.
He made a special appearance in Om Shanti Om and Anjaana Anjaani. He also co-starred in Yuvvraaj and Blue. Khan, who prefers multi-starrer films, is currently working on Tezz (2011) with Ajay Devgan and Anil Kapoor.
The actor along with good friend Dia Mirza and her boyfriend Sahil Sanga has started his own production house, Born Free Entertainment, and their the first film Love Breakups Zindagi was released on 7 October 2011.
