Biography:
Varun is comic director David Dhawan’s younger son. Varun Dhawan wanted to start his career in acting but his parents David and Lali didn’t want him to join showbiz until he had a sound education and packed him off to Manchester to enroll for a course in business management. He has a degree in Business management from Nottingham Trent University, UK. Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor both were a part of acting coach Barry John’s acting school. They both appeared in a five minute-short film titled White Mountain. He started off as an Assistant Director, assisting his father David Dhawan. In Karan Johar’s 2010 release My Name Is Khan, Varun assisted Karan as an Assistant Director.
Varun is debuted in Karan Johar’s Student of the Year which is due in October 19, 2012 alongside newcomer model, Siddharth Malhotra and director Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter Aliya Bhatt. Fresh and energetic, Varun impressed audiences with his work and girls have fallen in love with this cutie’s smile!Varun Dhawan will be seen in his filmmaker father David Dhawan’s Main Tera Hero opposite Ileana D’cruz and Nargis Fakhri. Varun Dhawan will again be seen romancing Alia Bhatt in the forthcoming movie Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. The two co-stars Varun and Alia had an unrequited romance in SOTY, so this is technically their first on-screen love story. According to sources, the film will be a tribute to the classic Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, one of KJo’s favourite films.
