Ever since the makers announced 14th August 2026 as the release date of Awarapan 2, Emraanians and fans of the cult classic have been eagerly awaiting the return of Emraan Hashmi as Shivam on the big screen.
Vishesh Films took to social media to announce the film’s wrap, a moment fans had been looking forward to, as the journey towards the sequel to one of Bollywood’s most loved romantic thrillers draws closer.
Shot across Rajasthan and South East Asia, Awarapan 2 comes together on a larger canvas, while staying true to the story at its heart.
Emraan Hashmi returns as Shivam, a role that has stayed with audiences for nearly two decades. Disha Patani joins Vishesh Films for the first time, bringing a fresh and heartfelt dimension to the story.
Bilal Siddiqui’s writing and Nitin Kakkar’s direction carry the story forward, thoughtfully, and with great care for what came before. Produced by Vishesh Bhatt, the film holds close the values that have always guided Vishesh Films, honest storytelling, memorable characters and music that endures.
Awarapan 2 is set to release in cinemas worldwide on 14th August 2026.
