Actor, director, and producer Chirag M Trivedi is steadily carving a niche for himself in the entertainment industry with diverse roles and ambitious projects across platforms.

Speaking about his work as an actor, Chirag shared that one of his prominent projects includes the 2021 Hotstar series The Tattoo Murders, where he played the main negative lead, Asif, alongside Tanuj Virwani. Interestingly, the show was initially titled Kamathipura. Another widely appreciated performance came with his portrayal of Rahul Dravid in Kaun Pravin Tambe, produced under Friday Filmworks.

On the directorial front, Chirag revealed that his debut project is titled Heat City Antarpath Chapter 1, which is set to release in cinemas later this year, followed by an OTT release.

Chirag M Trivedi has also stepped into production, backing two short films for Shemaroo Shorties. One of them, Town in Dark, has been generating significant buzz, while the other, RUSA, is described as a post-apocalyptic sci-fi mystery inspired by the concept of Samudra Manthan.

Talking about Town in Dark, Chirag emphasized its uniqueness. He said,

“Town in Dark is India’s first official short action thriller. Within just 30 minutes, we have showcased action, chase sequences, shootouts, emotional depth, and multiple Mumbai locations. The story revolves around two protagonists who destroy a hub run by a human trafficking lady don. This scale and storytelling are rarely seen in short films. Coincidently the director of the short film is Chirag Singh and my name is Chirag too and he has done fabulous work.”

The film features a strong ensemble cast including Chirag M. Trivedi, Peeyush Patil, Monica Gupta, Shagun Khurana, Rajat Arora, Saloni Ganvir, and Vihaan Choudhary.

The short film has been receiving a positive response from audiences, reflecting the growing popularity of the format. Commenting on the rise of short films, Chirag stated,

“The trend of short films is here to stay. Everyone has a mobile phone in hand today, and content can be watched easily anywhere.”

Balancing multiple roles as an actor, director, and producer, Chirag believes multitasking is essential in today’s creative landscape.

“Multitasking is a way of life. I am ambitious, and doing different kinds of work excites me,” he concluded.
