Director Nishank Swami’s debut directorial music video Ek Tu Hi Hai seems to have touched the right chords with the audience. The romantic track, penned and composed by the very popular Tanishk Bagchi and produced by Bhushan Kumar and T-Series, has already crossed 10 million views. Zahrah S Khan and Stebin Ben have sung the music video.

“I am getting great responses around the song, everybody is liking the video. I have shown it to the actors and people in my friends circle, and they had good things to say. I have worked really hard, and when you do something with full dedication, people definitely appreciate it,” he says.
Even celebrities have showered love on the song and video.
“Everybody, including Sunny Leone, Hina Khan, Karishma Tanna, Jasmin Bhasin, Aly Goni, Ekta Kapoor ma’am, Neha Sharma, Siddharth Nigam, Manish Paul, Arjun Bijlani, Rahul Vaidya, and many more have appreciated the video. I feel good and happy about it and hopefully I will plan something unique for my next project. Everyone is working hard in their respective genres, and they are all doing great. However, my aspiration is to do something different and carve my own distinct journey. Every individual has a different path and unique thoughts. People must appreciate the hard work that goes into making a project.”
Talking about the numbers on social media, he adds,
“It’s quite a significant number because the male actor was new, and the female actress is from Nepal, making it a fresh pair on-screen. And both of them have justified their roles exceptionally well. Achieving 10 million views is an amazing feeling, and I expect even more in the coming days. Along with the song being unique, the video is very distinctive as well,” he adds.
Apart from the process being enriching, the response has been encouraging for Nishank.
“When you create something and witness its growth, you undoubtedly feel encouraged and motivated to continue to create more to keep the audience happy. It’s an art where you have to present something new every time to captivate people. So, yes, I am all set to work on my next song, and hopefully, I will announce it soon,” he reveals.
When it comes to music videos one needs to tell a story in a limited time frame.
“I do agree that I have narrated the story within a very limited time, and that’s what everyone’s liking it so much. It was a challenge to incorporate a story into a song, those who have done that would agree. When you watch the video, you will come to realise that it’s a big story with a lot packed into those four minutes. There isn’t a single missing shot. So, please continue showering your love and support,” he adds with a smile.
Nishank’s focus is to build himself up by gathering experience while directing for music videos and then he definitely wants to make web shows.
“For now I feel that I would stick to music videos and would want to bring out something different,” he says.
