Vardhan Puri reveals why the makers of his debut film Yeh Saali Aashiqui pushed the release date to November 29!

Vardhan Puri, grandson of the late Amrish Puri, on his debut film told us that Yeh Saali Aashiqui  has changed the dates avoiding the box office clash with the multi-starrer Pagalpanti and getting pushed to November 29.

Even before the release of his debut film, Yeh Saali Aashiqui, Vardhan Puri has already become a celebrated name in the industry that certainly speaks volumes for the young promising actor.

Having started his acting journey with theatre at the tender age of five, Vardhan feels blessed to have the opportunity to play such a layered, complex and challenging character in his debut film. Ever since the movie trailer has been launched, Vardhan has been receiving compliments for his performance from respected filmmakers, producers and actors, especially megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who tweeted about the hard-hitting trailer.

While Yeh Saali Aashiqui was supposed to hit the big screens on November 22, the makers have decided to postpone it by a week and will now release on Nov 29.

Commenting about the box office clash, Vardhan informs,

“It’s (Pagalpanti) a bigger film with bigger actors and I have a lot of respect for Anil sir, John sir and Anees sir. So it was obvious for them to get more screens and plus there was Frozen 2 which is a Disney film. It’s a very positive move and we are not upset about anything. Everything lies in the interest of the film.”

Since our film talks about love and has such a big heart, we thought it’s only fair for the film to get a good opportunity. Hats off to Mr Rajiv Amrish Puri and Dr. Jayantilal Gada sir for taking this last minute decision but I think it’s all for the betterment of the film and looking at the long term I feel it will definitely help the film. I have no regret and I totally understand that this is business and a lot of things have to happen which helps in the commerce of the film because without commerce there is no art,” Vardhan adds.
