Meet Romeo The Fantasy Man Ready To Steal Your Heart
When the entire world seems to be trying to get fit and put themselves out in the world as fitness freaks? There is one category of humans that is so perfect from all angels that they have the ability to be nude in front of a mob and yet they never get noticed for there perfection. An industry that has been always excluded from society and is never talked about openly. Yes, I am talking about exotic performers. Men and women in this industry are absolute stunners, they are hot, sexy, flexible and complete charmers. Not everyone can confidently dance, entertain, seduce and get naked in front of a room full of women or men. A job that requires a level of courage, to be able to own the stage and be comfortable being naked and soak all the attention up effortlessly.
A class of men and women who have to demonstrate their improvisational skills and be adaptable to different situations while they are nude. When taking members of the audience up on stage to get a lap dance, things can shift in a matter of seconds. It’s important to show off their sexiest attributes while keeping their ego in check.
So how do they do it? What drives them to be so perfect? They are charming, beautiful/handsome, fit, sexy, physically flexible and are the ones to take over the stage nude while all eyes are on them?
I had a chance to speak to one of the exotic performers. Romeo is an exotic performer who has performed around the globe in various cities. He is based in Vancouver and is an artist at the Brandy Show Lounge. Let’s hear more about this handsome devil in an interview with us…
Tell us a little bit about you. What made you choose such a difficult industry?
I originally started by being a gogo-dancer. Those are the people hyping the crowd by dancing on stages in clubs or at events. I’ve always wanted to do something out of the ordinary and something that most people won’t dare to do. Somehow I didn’t last very long due to some politics and how the scene was run therefore I decided to not limit myself to one avenue if the door is closing for me, I will go and open another one. I decided to strip shortly after; I definitely dove in the deep end with that one. I was not sure at first but the agent at the time had given me my shot so I took it. I tried it and did not mind it so I continued.
When and how did you decide to be an exotic performer?
I started I was 18. My answer above sort of sums it up. But as I mentioned, gogo-dancing was already daring enough for me but due to some politics, I ended up being let go. I am not one to take a no for an answer that easy so I said IF I cannot do that I will try something else and being an exotic performer was the next best thing.
Tell us about the places you have performed…
I have been fortunate enough to be able to travel while performing. And I have performed in Korea (Soul) twice. Negril Jamaica, All over British Colombia, Yukon Territories as well as Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
What sort of training you have received to attain this position?
I am a self-thought. I was not given any details or particular info on how to train and practice to become a performer.
To be an exotic performer one has to reach the peak of fitness and flexibility accompanied by good looks. What’s your take on this?
Well yes, as humbly I would like to put it, you are selling a dream fantasy, it is also a mere act, let’s not forget this. It is truly like acting. As for the fitness aspect, yes indeed, every I train; it is a juggle between gym, yoga and dance classes.
Tell us about your experience when you first performed and where?
The first time I performed was in a club setting. I was nervous. I got thrown in the lion’s den, and I needed to pull through a 15mins set, which was not easy. Nervousness is bound to happen when you haven’t reached a certain amount of experience. Now I am able to perform for a larger crowd and for a longer period of time. I have reached a point where my stage presence is fairly noticeable, now and I do show strong traits of confidence once I step on stage. I would like to add that being an exotic performer as allowed me to discover better who I am and made me very much so aware and comfortable with my sexuality which I find at my age to be of a great asset in this day in age.
Where do you see yourself in the next few years?
I have not been able to answer those questions when my grade 5 teachers asked me that. However, I try being grateful every day to be alive and healthy and to be able to move the way I do. I started performing at the age of 18 and I knew from the get-go, this would only be temporary as I cannot do this long term. However, I am enjoying every day as they come. I still have a few more years to go. I am currently finishing my psychology degree and I am thinking maybe of opening a dance school in the future.
What are other things you like to do?
Salsa! I love dancing and Salsa is such a rich dance and so is its music and culture. Typically, if I am not at the gym or doing yoga I am dancing Salsa. Another practice I have recently started doing is meditation. It has helped me tremendously with my thoughts process and allowed me to find some balance in my daily life.
What is a regular day for you?
A typical day involves training, some reading whether it is for school or personal readings, Work on my business and another activity at night. I try to close the day with meditation. Tell us about any awkward and the best moment….. Not everyone is ready to see a show like this; some women will feel shyer than others. Some of them are really standoff at first but towards the end, they relax. I always say,” it is only awkward if you make it that way” since I do not! I have no pressure on my side. I’m very aware of body language and people’s boundaries; therefore I play and feed off what each individual is given me at the time. It does get fun when ladies are very playful and joyful because at the end of the day we are all here to have fun.
Any message you would want to deliver to your audience?
To my audience, there would be not shown without you, there would be no me without you. I am grateful for each person who has come and supported the show and supported me personally. I always try to reach new heights, to come up with inhuman moves that will get the crowd going, so to my audience I bow down to you. I couldn’t have gone to where I am now without you. See you at the weekend J
