About two weeks ago the MPPA had passed a resolution to the fight by banning Pakistani artists and technicians across the film, television, and theater mediums In India until a settlement comes together between both countries.
In addition there have been hateful comments and statements being thrown across the internet specifically towards India’s most talented, renowned artist of the industry- Karan Johar. The Internet is a good place for some but it can be severely harmful to others. Karan has stated many times in multiple scenarios how people have hurt him via the Internet.
In this situation though it has gone too far and people are beginning to say he is ‘anti-national’ due to his selection of actors in films. Here is his full statement released on Filmfare:
To restate and emphasize this line in his statement in the clip above,
I have always felt that the best way to express your patriotism is to spread love and that’s all I have ever tried to do through my work and cinema.
Karan Johar could not have expressed himself any better to simply quiet those who keep calling him ‘ant-national’ and more.
