This weekend saw ‘Bajirao’ played by Ranveer Singh launch the ‘victory song’ Malhari in Bhopal. Arriving in a traditional chariot, accompanied by 50 Dhol and 50 Tutari players, in front of a massive crowd of 10,000 people, cheering for Ranveer as he performed to the song.

After the stupendous popularity of Gajanana, Deewani Mastani and Pinga, comes yet another visual spectacle choreographed by Ganesh Acharya. ‘Malhari’ signifies victory and celebration, comes at a stage in this period drama where Bajirao, motivates his soldiers, building confidence and morale in them for future battles. As an expression of happiness, Bajirao and his soldiers break out into Malhari, forgetting all hierarchy and celebrating yet another big victory.

Following the ‘victory rally’ in Bhopal, Ranveer jetted back to Mumbai to meet with his co-star Priyanka Chopra who took time off from filming her new hit show Quantico in the US. Ranveer and Priyanka hosted an electrifying interactive evening that celebrated the spirit and magic of Bajirao Mastani, treating the audience to select snippets and treats from the highly guarded epic, including an exclusive behind-the-scene making of the song Pinga, in which Priyanka performs with Deepika  for the very first time.
