Sahil Arora, a rising star in the entertainment industry, has quickly made a name for himself with his compelling performances and versatile talent. He recently ventured into television, featuring in notable shows like Jamai No. 1 and Mangal Lakshmi. In an exclusive chat with us, Sahil opens up about his journey in the industry, the nuances of playing a negative role like Jigar in Mangal Lakshmi, and his aspirations for the future as he continues to explore new horizons in the world of entertainment.

Could you briefly tell us a little about your journey to becoming an actor?
It started with a passion when I participated in Face of Gujarat. The whole process was quite fascinating, and I actually ended up winning the whole pageant. Then I found that this is my calling and started modelling, and finally got into acting. So yeah, it was a quick passion driven journey for me and God showed the way further. Touchwood
Jigar is quite a manipulative and cunning character. What attracts you to this role, and how do you prepare yourself to play such a negative character?
I am a very ethical person as a whole, so for me, when Jigar came to me, it became important for me to imbibe in the character since it gave me a variation from what I am. So yes, Jigar is quite manipulative and cunning, and that is exactly what attracted me to this role. While preparing for this role, I think I just have to think what I won’t do as a person. That is what I have to prepare exactly, ki agar main is jaga pe hota to main kya nahi karta and that is all what Jigar does.
Jigar doesn’t hesitate to use unethical means for TRPs. Do you think such tactics happen in real life?
Jigar actually is doing his work, maybe unethically but abhi tak aisa nahin dekha hai industry mein. Hota bhi hoga to I am not aware of it.
If given a chance, would you want Jigar to redeem himself in the future?
I think the character of Jigar is actually very unethical, someone who takes advantage of the whole situation for his own motives. So that is what the character is about, so I think I don’t want to change anything about this character, maybe in future also.
How has your experience been working with Deepika Singh and the cast of Mangal Lakshmi?
I am really blessed that I got a chance to work with Deepika ma’am. She is a very professional actor and a very good person at heart. And even Urvashi (Upadhyay) ma’am. They have been amazingly helpful and made me comfortable wherever I needed. So yes, I loved working with them and looking forward to work with them in future too.
